Careers Programs
Programs
At Hampton University Proton Cancer Institute, we have created programs that benefit our students and volunteers in gaining experience, sharpening their skills under the right mentorship and making a difference all around. Please see below some of the programs we offer:
Our Internship Program:
Hampton Proton created an internship program Spring 2021 and partnered with colleges and universities to foster an initiative to support students in aligning their academic studies with real-world working success. Since then, the internship program has grown from hiring a handful of students to an upward number of 15 plus student applicants each semester. Our goal is to provide students with structured work experience and provide hands-on training and real-life exposure to the various departments within a healthcare facility.

Our Clinical Rotation Program:
Hampton Proton offers clinical rotations for nursing, radiation therapy, and medical students. This program provides practical skills in an oncology health care settings under the supervision of a licensed clinical professional. Clinical rotations focuses on achieving the student’s required competencies. Each clinical rotation span several semesters or years, depending on the length and structure of the nursing program.
